Need to Know

 

  1. Where is the club located?
    ✯ Lammas School, Seymour Road, Leyton, E10 7LX

  2. What days and times do classes run?
    ✯ Classes run Thursday – Sunday for children aged 6 months to adults. Classes are term-time only.

  3. What age groups do you cater to?
    ✯ Ages 6 months – adults for our regular classes. We also offer squad training for those progressing to competitive levels.

  4. How do I sign up for a class?
    ✯ You can sign up for classes online via https://inspire-excellence-trampoline-academy.classforkids.io.

  5. Do you offer trials?
    ✯ Yes! Gymnasts can book a single class trial before committing to signing up for monthly payments. All trials must be booked in advance online.

  6. Do you run holiday camps or skills clinics?
    ✯ Yes! We run structured holiday camps during the day, during school holidays. These are open to both members and non-members.

Membership & Fees

  1. What are the costs for sessions and how are they paid?
    ✯ £36 per month, paid 11 months of the year (no fees in August). Payments are made via Class4Kids booking system using Stripe as a monthly recurring card payment.

  2. Is there a membership fee? What does it cover?
    ✯ British Gymnastics Annual Membership: £24 (paid directly to British Gymnastics, annually)
    ✯ Club Annual Membership Fee: £26 (paid directly to the club, paid upon joining and every 1st August)
    ✯ Squad Membership Fee: £20 annually (paid directly to the club every 1st August)

  3. Is British Gymnastics membership required?
    ✯ Yes, all gymnasts must have British Gymnastics Membership for insurance purposes. Register Here

Uniform & Dress Code

  1. What is the required uniform for boys and girls?
    ✯ Female Gymnasts: Club leotard (compulsory), club shorts (optional). If shorts are not purchased, gymnasts must wear the leotard only.
    ✯ Male Gymnasts: Leotard and shorts (compulsory), stirrups (optional).

  2. Where can we purchase the club uniform?
    ✯ Uniforms can be purchased from reception. Uniforms are to order and can take 8-10 weeks to arrive if we do not have your stock in size. Our next order deadline is 26th March.

  3. Are leotards mandatory? Can gymnasts wear leggings or shorts?
    ✯ Leotards are mandatory. Shorts are optional (but must be club-branded). Leggings are not allowed.

  4. What should gymnasts wear for trampolining?
    ✯ Socks must be worn for trampolining.

  5. Are jewellery and accessories allowed?
    ✯ No jewellery, including studs, is allowed. Hair must be tied up before class, and fabric headbands should be used for flyaway hair or fringes.

Class & Attendance Policies

  1. What happens if my child is late to class?
    ✯ Gymnasts arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed into the session. Gymnasts must be on the mat, if you are signing in 10 minutes late you will not be allowed in.

  2. What should we bring to class?
    ✯ Gymnasts should bring only one bag (rucksack/duffle bag), and all belongings (including shoes) must fit inside.

  3. Can parents watch the sessions?
    ✯ Yes, parents can watch from the corridor. Parents are not allowed in the hall except for parent and child classes.

  4. What happens if my child misses a class? Do you offer make-up sessions?
    ✯ Unfortunately not, you are paying for your space, not attendance. We encourage full attendance as our lessons are progressive.

  5. What is the procedure for dropping off and collecting gymnasts?
    ✯ Drop-off: Sign your gymnast in at reception, place belongings in the corridor, and line up by the sports hall doors with only their water bottle ready for their session. Please ensure your child is fully ready before leaving, with jewellery removed and hair tied up.
    ✯ Collection: Parents must come forward to the coach—we will not allow gymnasts to walk down the corridor alone. Once collected, please clear the area promptly to allow smooth transitions.

Competitions & Progression

  1. Do you offer competitive gymnastics or just recreational classes?
    ✯ We offer both recreational and squad training for those interested in competing.

  2. How does my child move up to the next level?
    ✯ Gymnasts progress based on age and ability. If your child is invited to move up, we will notify you directly. We follow British Gymnastics award proficiency.

  3. Are there any competitions, and how do gymnasts qualify?
    ✯ Yes! Gymnasts can compete in our in-house club events, open to all members. Our squad gymnasts also compete in various competitions, including regional, national, and international events.

  4. What is expected of squad gymnasts?
    ✯ Our squads have a minimum ability requirement, which differs for each discipline. Squads train a minimum of 4 hours per week and are required to compete.

Other Policies

  1. What is your cancellation policy?
    ✯ If you choose to stop your classes, we require one month’s notice submitted before the 26th of the month. Cancellations must be received in writing at admin@inspireexcellenceacademy.co.uk.

  2. Are food and drinks allowed in the hall?
    ✯ No food or drinks (except water) are allowed inside the gym. squads are allowed to bring in a light lunch

  3. Is there parking available at the venue?
    ✯ Yes, parking is available at the school.

  4. How do I update my contact details or emergency information?
    ✯ You can keep your child's profile up to date on your Class4Kids account.

  5. What should I do if I have a concern or complaint?
    ✯ Please contact admin@inspireexcellenceacademy.co.uk for any concerns or feedback.

  6. How do I check for lost property?
    ✯ Lost property is disposed of once a term. We have lost property items left at reception for you to check.
